Christopher Ross is a Massachusetts native who studied art and business at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.  He went on to study art and design at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland and San Francisco before continuing at the Masters level at the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCi-ARC) in Los Angeles.  While there, he studied under Thom Mayne, Eric Owen Moss and Tom Wiscombe.  Additionally, he spent time at the Berlage Institute in Rotterdam, Netherlands, working on projects in Hoovliet and the Biblioteque National in Paris. After graduation, he worked for Cee Architects, and the Cee/Pfau Collaborative, in San Francisco.  He currently splits his time between his Los Angeles studio and the studio he shares with his father in Walpole, MA.

Christopher’s work frequently combines aspects of architecture and joinery, as well as the repurposing of materials, to create functional and innovative objects to be experienced at different scales.  His Conduit/Connections Series combines different conduit systems made from repurposed materials to create sculptural pieces of varying scales. These pieces incorporate familiar materials employed in unexpected ways to create new forms and functions.
